Simple decrease (slip, knit, pass over)

Slip a stitch from one needle to the other, inserting the right needle as if to knit it.
Knit the next stitch.

With the left needle, take the slipped stitch and pass it over the knitted stitch.

After a simple overlock, there is 1 less stitch left on the needle.
